There are a lot of people, Christian and non Christian alike, who believe we are living in the last days of life as we know it on planet Earth. We as Christians have a source to look to that tells us that the end of days are at hand and what it will be like. That is the Holy Bible! Holy men of old spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
In ll Peter 1:20-21 we read this
20) “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21) For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”
As Christians we believe this with every fiber of our being. We believe it because God created “time”. He created it for mankind. He dwells in eternity, time has no bearing on Him. So when God says that He knows the end from the beginning (Is. 46:9-10) it’s easy for us to trust that fact. I say fact, because God has placed very specific prophecies in the Bible that have taken place in the past. They happened 100% the way He said they would. That makes it very easy to believe the still future prophecies will happen 100% the way He says they will.
Is. 46:9-10
9) Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
10) Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
No other secular or religious book in the entire world can make this claim and be 100% accurate, only the Holy Bible. I would like to look at some of the future prophecies, those that have not yet been fulfilled. However I want to bring our attention to one that has been fulfilled in the very recent past and one that is being fulfilled at this very moment. I believe this will help you to believe also. The very recent past fulfillment is Israel becoming a nation again after almost two thousand years of wondering from country to country. God says in
Isaiah 66:8
8) Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.
ISRAEL
At midnight on May 14,1948, Israel joined the nations of the world when David Ben-Gurion announced to the new Jewish government and the whole world that Israel was a sovereign nation again. That was a fulfillment of a few Biblical prophecies, Isaiah 66:8, Amos 9:14-15, Ez. 37:10-11 and a few other scriptures. Some people alive today were alive when that happened.
The Bible prophecy that is being fulfilled since then, and is still being fulfilled TODAY, is the Jews returning to the Land of Israel. You can easily make an online search and find that Jews are making Aliyah to Israel on a daily basis. Here is what Wikipedia says about the law for Jews returning to the land of Israel.

“The Law of Return (Hebrew: חוק השבות, Hok ha-shvut), a law passed in 1950 in memory of the Holocaust, allows every Jew the right to make Aliyah to the State of Israel and to receive a certificate of Aliyah, which grants the certificate holder an Israeli Citizenship immediately. This stems from Israel’s identity as the Jewish State, which is connected to the idea of the gathering of Israel”.
There are numerous Biblical prophecies to show this as a fulfillment at this very moment, such as, Jer. 16:14-15; 31:8-10, Is. 43:5-9 and others.
To me this is very exciting, that Bible prophecy is being fulfilled right before my eyes. The sad part is that people have blinded their eyes with the love and pleasures of this world and refuse to see. Even some Christians, the ones who should know the truth don’t want to see what is happening today. May God our Father arrest you long enough to see the truth that is staring you in the face. Please don’t be offended by what I have written, I care and want everyone to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth.
FUTURE BIBLE PROPHECIES
Now we will turn our attention to future Bible prophecies. Isaiah 17 is a prophecy that has never been fulfilled. There are some that say it had a past fulfillment, but there is one glaring problem. Verse 1! This verse shows that certainly is not the case. It says
“v 1. The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.”
This means it will be taken away as a city. Damascus is about the oldest continuously inhabited city in the whole world. When this prophecy is fulfilled, Damascus will cease to exist and just be a big pile of rubble. I really think that this Biblical prophecy could take place any day now. Will you finally believe the Bible when it does happen? And it will, just like the Bible says.
I think that tied in with Isaiah 17, is Ezekiel 38-39. When Isaiah 17 happens, I don’t think it will be very long before the Ezekiel prophecy takes place. I think this because of one big factor. The Russians have military bases in a big portion of Syria and when Damascus is “taken away from being a city” it will affect the Russian military bases as well. Since the Syrians and Russians are allies, the Russians will be compelled to help the Syrians. And of course Israel will be blamed rather they are behind this catastrophe or not.
EZEKIEL 38-39
The political Governments of still future prophecies seem to be aligning themselves on the world stage. Russia, Iran, and Turkey. This is an alliance of nations specifically mentioned in Ezekiel 38-39. I personally think that these two prophecies (Is.17; Ez.38-39) are in our very near future. The bear of Russia seems to be very hungry. And the Russians are creating a lot of havoc in the world today, there doesn’t seem to be any stopping the bear. The prophecy of Ezekiel 38-39 says they are going to attack Israel for “a great spoil”(Ez.38:10-13).
Israel is a very prosperous nation. God has blessed the nation of Israel in every way possible and they are the strongest nation in the middle east. Their agriculture abilities are the best in the world. They ship food to all 4 corners of the earth. They are also very strong in the academia world. Their “silicon valley” is as good as the USA’s. The “Israeli Defense Force” has and will always defend the nation against any and all aggressors. The Jews are the chosen ones by God to bring salvation to the whole world and He will protect them. Which brings us to Ezekiel 38-39.
Ez. 38:1-10
1) And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2) Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,
3) And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:
4) And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:
5) Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:
6) Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.
7) Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.
8) After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.
9) Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.
10) Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:

All the nations that are represented here are all coming into alignment or already have treaties with one another. But God says that the nation from the far north of Israel will be the leader of this coalition of nations and his name is Gog. (Gog is a title like President or Prime Minister) All the other nations are already enemies of Israel and have sworn to annihilate the Jewish State, so it will be very easy for them to side with Russia. They will all come like a swarm of locusts to the mountains of Israel. When they come God will protect them. They thought “v.10 an evil thought” but Ez. 38-39 has a very clear picture of what is going to happen to this conglomerate of nations. This is a prophecy that will take place in the “v.8 latter years”. Will this happen during the tribulation or before? We don’t know, but there are very good Biblical scholars that believe it will happen before the tribulation and some that believe it will be during the tribulation. In either case it is in planet earths very near future. At no other time in history have these mentioned countries had an alliance together, only now have they come into unison. The fact is this is going to happen and God will destroy all the armies that come against Israel.
7 YEARS OF TRIBULATION
The seven years of tribulation that is referred to as the seventieth week of Danials prophecy (Dan. 9:24-27), and the time of Jacobs trouble (Jer. 30:7), will be the most terrifying this world has ever witnessed. Believe me you don’t want to be on earth at this time of history. This is a time when God will judge the world in righteousness and if you don’t accept Jesus as your savior, you will find yourself as the enemy of God. The first three and a half years will be relatively easy when compared to the last three and a half years of chaos. But the entire seven year period is going to be horribly painful. The last three and a half years will be the worse.
A man will step into the newly rebuilt temple in Jerusalem and declare to the world that he is god. He will demand the worship (ll Thess. 2:3-4) of everyone on earth, and to receive a mark on their right hand or on their forehead. You will not be able to buy or sell anything unless you have this mark (Rev. 13:15-18). God says everyone that gives their allegiance to this man and takes his mark will be doomed for eternity (Rev. 14:9-11).
Your only option of escape if you find yourself in this situation is to believe God and accept Jesus as your savior. Do not take his mark!
You maybe wondering about all those who are Christians right now. If you are a Christian now you will not be going through this tribulation time. For the Bible declares that we will be taken out of this world to be with our savior Jesus before this time starts (l Thess. 4:13-18;5:9) please settle it in your heart right now and ask Jesus to be your savior, He’s listening just ask Him.
After this 7 years has run its course Jesus will return in all His Glory and destroy all His enemies (l Thess. 2:8). At this time Jesus will set up His kingdom that will last for 1000 years which is called the “millennium”.
THE MILLENNIUM
This brings us to another future Bible prophecy, the millennium. The millennium will be a time of peace on earth with Jesus ruling and reigning from His thrown in Jerusalem. It will be a time like this world, since the fall of man, has never seen. People will live hundreds of years and repopulate the earth. The earth will give its fullness of produce. There will be no hunger. At the end of it, after all the goodness that people enjoyed under King Jesus, some will rebel. The devil and all those who rebel against Jesus will be cast into the lake of fire to be there forever.
THE FINAL AND LAST FUTURE BIBLE PROPHECY
At this time, God will fulfill His final Biblical prophecy and completely dismantle this present heavens and earth (Is.34:1-4; Mk.13:31) and create a new heaven and a new earth (Rev. 21:1-5) wherein dwells righteousness for all the rest of eternity. A place where there never will be sin again, a place of perfect peace, no more crying, no more pain, no-one hurting anyone else, just total perfection because we are with God our Father, we are all family. We will always live in perfect unity and worship Jesus our savior and our Heavenly Father.
These are not all the “still future” prophecies in the Bible, but gives you a taste of what God has said would happen so that when it does, you might believe. He’s not wanting anyone to perish but that all would repent and be saved. He gave His only Son that you might live, that’s how much He loves people. But He does want you to repent of your sins and take His righteousness that only comes through acknowledging that you cannot save yourself, only the Blood of Jesus can cleanse you from your sin. God gave the prophecies in the Bible so you can see and know that He is real and He loves all of us. At the beginning of this article I put Is.46:9-10, please read these again and believe them. Remember when Bible prophecy is fulfilled that there is only one God and it is to Him that you will give an account one day. Will you plead the righteousness of Jesus are try and stand on what righteousness you think you have. His leads to life eternal, yours leads to death, which is eternity in hell. Please chose Jesus, He is waiting for you. You must chose, heaven or hell, there is no other choose.
